FAQ MAYAMY Wax Pen
MAYAMY WAX OR WARM WAX?
The main difference between MAYAMY wax and warm wax is the ingredient base. Warm wax is made from sugar or chemical components, while MAYAMY wax is made from resins secreted by trees. Resin has a better stickiness than sugar, so MAYAMY wax has a higher performance than sugar and can remove more hair at a time. Besides MAYAMY wax does not leave unpleasant sticky sensations as sugar wax does.
DOES MAYAMY WAXPEN REMOVE ALL HAIRS AT A TIME?
If you follow the instructions, you will be able to remove all hairs in one stroke. Make sure your skin is clean and dry. Keep the wax at a temperature above +20 °С. Apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, leaving no space between the hairs. Make sure to keep the wax close to the skin. Pull the strip in one quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth. If you do not pay attention to the direction of application and removal, you will not be able to remove all hairs at a time.

Upper lip zone
NOT ALL HAIRS WERE REMOVED. WHY?
Make sure you apply a thin layer of the wax to the area of application. Make sure you apply the wax in the direction of hair growth and fix the strip in that direction as well. It is necessary to fix the strip with enough pressing. The strip must be removed with a quick, sharp motion, keeping it as close to the skin as possible. Make sure the hairs are long enough: at least 1.5 mm.
THE WAX DOES NOT COME OUT OF THE APPLICATOR. WHY?
Prior to the procedure make sure that the temperature of the wax is at least +20°C. If you can not get the wax out of the applicator, make sure that the temperature in the room is above +20°C and WaXPen has been there for at least three hours. You may heat the wax using a fan for 1 minute. Do not heat the wax in the microwave!
MAY WAXING CAUSE INGROWN OR PRICKING HAIRS?
If you use the wax properly, you will not face these problems. You should apply the wax and fix the strip in the direction of hair growth and then remove it in the opposite direction. If you do not pay attention to these details, this may lead to pricking or ingrown hairs and hairs growing in a wrong direction.
BRUISES AFTER WAXING. WHY?
You must have not followed the instructions. If you do not pay enough attention to the direction of application and removal of the wax, or apply the wax to the same area more than once, this may lead to bruising.
MAY I SUNBATHE AFTER WAXING?
After waxing, the skin becomes more sensitive and the pores are exposed. It is recommended not to tan for 24 hours after the procedure, and also not to use alcohol-containing skincare products and peels.
MAY MAYAMY WAX CAUSE ALLERGY REACTIONS?
It is very rare that some customers are allergic to resin, which is the natural raw ingredient of the wax. The extracts used in the product may cause some unwanted allergic reactions. To avoid this, it is recommended to run a skin sensitivity test on a small area of the body 1 day before use.
MAY THE REGULAR USE OF MAYAMY WAX MAKE THE HAIRS DISAPPEAR AND NOT TO GROW AFTER A WHILE?
No, it is impossible to get rid of unwanted hair forever with regular use of the wax. However, MAYAMY wax does not include ingredients and sugars, that nourish follicles, so it decreases the speed of hair growth with regular use.
IF THE PROCEDURE IS DONE AT THE AREA THAT HAS NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY DEPILATED, MAY IT LEAD TO THE INCREASED HAIR GROWTH AND HAIR TIGHTENING?
No. The use of wax on an area that has never been depilated before does not strengthen the hairs, make them tighter or increase their amount.
IS WAXING PERFORMED BEFORE OR AFTER TINTING THE EYEBROWS WITH DYE OR HENNA?
Waxing is performed after tinting the eyebrows with dye or henna.
